PROGRAM

Who Should Attend?
Directors of agricultural cooperatives seeking to understand their fiduciary responsibilities as a board member and to enhance their Board’s effectiveness.

Why Should you Attend?
As a director of a cooperative, you face the unique challenge of leading your organization while using its services. Your cooperative operates in a highly competitive business environment. Along with your fellow board members, you are charged with making decisions affecting the welfare of the cooperative and its members. These decisions often are based on financial statements reflecting the position of your cooperative, and an understanding of these statements is therefore essential.

At this workshop, you will gain new understanding or refresh your present skills. You will network with other co-op leaders, discover new approaches to viewing staements and gain information on your legal responsibilities. You will find out how to clearly define the role financial statements play in your decision process.
